As this pandemic grows and causes a global crisis, health, and economic impact, we workers are now switching from the usual work habits into work from home to protect ourselves and our families.
It's over a year since this pandemic causes drastic transformation to our lives physically, mentally, emotionally, and socially. How are you coping with the work-from-home setting?. Today I will share with you work from home habits that you should develop.
1. HAVE A CERTAIN AREA AS A WORKSPACE OR A WORK HOME FROM HOME OFFICE

It is excellent to choose a secluded area that you can claim as yours to maintain a healthy working environment. Being at home will make us think that it is not a place to work, affecting our mindset, leading us to be unproductive. It will help us give value to our boundaries to separate personal and work time. Making sure as well that our workspace is neat and organized is a must.
2. BE RESPONSIBLE FOR YOUR WORK SCHEDULE

Set a specific time for deep uninterrupted work because, as we work from home, we are unsupervised, which will require much self-discipline to adjust well. One effective way of doing it is to make a list of the daily tasks.
3. REGULAR BREAKS BETWEEN TASKS

Working from home doesn't mean you need to work all day without breaks. It is important to take good care of yourself physically (stretch, rest your eyes, take a nap, eat and rehydrate) and mentally (read good books, listen to inspirational music, etc.). Remember that when you are in your best shape, you can be more productive. So, no work during breaks.
4. BE MINDFUL OF YOUR ACCOMPLISHMENTS

Working from home most of the time brings isolation, so practice motivating yourself by being aware of your end-of-day accomplishments. Don't forget to reward yourself with something that will make you feel accomplished to make your morale bright.
Work from home isolation.
The work from home isolation created by this pandemic makes us human beings vulnerable to mental issues, especially if you are like me, who live away from your parents. I cannot go home due to my work and various community restrictions imposed in the city where I currently reside. So, to build relationships with people we care about, don't forget to meet your friends, have family gatherings, and reach out to those you cherish even through zoom, various social media, etc.
Stay safe and healthy.
